沪江英语介绍,“中国Duang”的名声终于远播海外,英国美国澳洲各国媒体竞相争论:这个在汉字词典大全都找不到的词都是怎么上热搜的呀!怎么一夜之间全在duang,duang,duang,所以duang到底是个什么鬼!

我们先来看看BBC的报道,注意这则报道是在BBC Trending首页:What''s popular and why----

Title: Millions share new Chinese character

标题:全民都在duang,duang,duang

The character ''duang'' has taken China''s internet by storm。

新词“duang”已席卷中国互联网。

The character "duang" is so new that it does not even exist in the Chinese dictionary. But it has already spread like wildfire online in China, appearing more than 8 million times on China''s micro-blogging site Weibo, where it spawned a top-trending hashtag that drew 312,000 discussions among 15,000 users。

新词“duang”新到甚至不存在于汉语词典里。但是其在网上传播之迅猛,已在微博上出现800万次,其作为大热标签已吸引1万5000名用户的31万2000讨论量。"Duang" seems to be an example of onomatopoeia, a word that phonetically imitates a sound。

“Duang”似乎是一个拟声词,是模仿发音造的一个词。

The word resurfaced again recently after Chan posted it on his Weibo page. Thousands of users then began to flood Chan''s Weibo page with comments。

这个词最近又火了一把是因为成龙本人在微博里放了这个词。成千上万的网友蜂拥至成龙大哥的页面评论。

所以你们都以为成龙不上B站是么!这现学现卖宣传的得心应手啊有木有!

然后我们来看看stuff.co.nz的报道(隶属Fairfax Media,澳洲媒体)

Title:Duang, what does it mean?

标题:Duang到底是个什么鬼?

Duang is taking China by storm but no-one has any idea what it is。

Duang已席卷全中国,但是没人知道这是个什么。

It has been searched more than 600,000 times on China''s main search engine, Baidu。

在中国主流搜索引擎百度上已被热搜60万次。

It can have many meanings, but people seem to be mainly using it as an adjective to give emphasis to the word that follows it。

这个词是一词多意啊,但是大众用法似乎是作为一种形容词,强调你前面所说的内容。

然后是美国较官方的Foreign Policy杂志的报道

Title:The Word That Broke the Chinese Internet

标题:热词席卷中国网络

It might be gibberish, but it’s also a sign of the times. The word duang, pronounced “dwong,” is spreading like wildfire throughout China’s active Internet – even though 1.3 billion Chinese people still haven’t figured out what it means。
