In a hearing held by the Health Subcommittee of the U.S. House ofRepresentatives’ Energy and Commerce Committee, much of the buzz centeredaround a proposal to bump up NIH funding—a dramatic change from a previousversion of the bill, known as the 21st Century Cures Act. The new draftrecommends $10 billion in extra funding for NIH over 5 years.
