今天是中国农历新年，是中国人最重视的传统节日。在美国洛杉矶，虽然农历新年没有国内这么热闹喜庆，但大大小小的新年庆祝活动还是很有过年气氛。

除了各个华人社区有自己的庆典活动外，还有很多的舞龙舞狮、游行、晚宴和新年马拉松庆祝，让大家和亲朋好友度过一个喜庆又丰富的中国农历新年。
在洛杉矶圣盖博市，农历庆典在传统的基础上多加了一点现代风味。去年的新年庆就已经在社区里掀起不小浪潮，今年的活动比去年更大更丰富。
美食餐车、商品摊位、现场表演、啤酒花园、儿童玩乐、艺术比赛和舞蹈比赛都有，更少不了经典的舞龙舞狮。 其中，“猴年画猴”活动趣味盎然，美国人和华人均参与其中，吸引了众多人围观、拍照。
