美国奥运金牌泳将洛克特等4人谎称在巴西里约遇抢引发轩然大波，洛克特在今天播出的访谈中坦承夸大其词，对巴西全国致歉。而他虽承认烂醉后闹事，但强调某种程度上并未说谎。
洛克特等4人先前宣称遭持枪抢劫，一度让奥运主办国巴西脸上无光，谁知当局调阅闭路电视画面，才发现抢劫一事根本是4人编造，为的是掩盖烂醉后破坏加油站的行径。
法新社与路透社报导，洛克特（Ryan Lochte）今天接受巴西「环球电视台」（GloboTV）专访时对巴西全国道歉：「我很抱歉，巴西不应受到那样的对待。」
但洛克特坚称自己遭到勒索，说警卫拿着枪威胁他，他被迫掏出钱来。
「我某种程度没有说谎。我过度夸大了我遇到的事。」
「我之所以要负起全责，是因为我过度夸大了事情，如果我没有那样做，我们就不会像现在这样狼狈。」
洛克特受访时也对牵连在内的另3名泳将致歉。事发后洛克特先一步返美，另3人想离开巴西时，却因此事遭当局拦下。
主持人问洛克特，看到队友被从飞机上带走时感觉如何，洛克特回答：「心很痛。」
「我让队上失望了，你知道的，我不希望他们觉得我丢下他们，放他们麻烦上身。」
