两个最重要的人权法案：
1964年通过的人权法案，废除了种族隔离，明确规定不得因种族、肤色、宗教信仰、性别、出生国等原因在招工和使用公共设施等方面歧视任何人。

1968年通过的人权法案，规定不得因种族、宗教信仰、出生国或性别等在住房问题上歧视任何人。
The Civil Rights Act signed into law in April 1968–popularly known as theFair Housing Act–prohibited discrimination concerning the sale, rental andfinancing of housing based on race, religion, national origin and sex.
政治正确，不是法律，只是一种思潮，一种趋势，某些人的practice，本来是指不得罪任何一个族群，但现在已经演变为不得罪某几个族群，但可以得罪其他族群。
AA，是在招生招工等方面照顾那些因历史原因处于劣势的族群。
1948年的人权法案，除了界定我们现在耳熟能详的几个基本权利以外，也界定了受教育的权利：
