　　美国肯塔基州一女子涉嫌破坏华盛顿的二战纪念碑，已被捕并面对两项重罪指控。华盛顿特区联邦检察官皮罗（Jeanine Pirro）周五称，每项罪名最高可判囚10年。

　　据路透社（Reuters）8月15日报道，纪念碑周四（8月13日）遭人用肥皂泡和涂鸦破坏，喷泉溢满泡沫，牆上喷有「Clean hands Dirty $（干净的手，肮髒的钱）」字样，并溅满红绿色油漆。

　　涉事女子名为法里斯（Melissa Farris），起诉状引述她说：「必须有人作出不同的选择，我对自己的行为负责……我会踏进法庭等待被捕，我们的政府也要为其选择负责。」有证人拍到她喷漆，桉件正交由美国公园警察跟进；警员认出她3日前曾因在联邦土地非法露营被捕。

　　美国总统特朗普（Donald Trump，又译川普）周五把事件与此前倒映池受损相提并论。皮罗早前撤销倒映池破坏桉4人控罪，指池况恶化源于安装不善，特朗普批评她「像雨伞般软下来」，称「先有倒映池，现在又这样」。法里斯两名家属拒绝回应。
