For 90 years, Lido Cocina Tsina has served generations of Filipino families, becoming part of countless meals, celebrations and everyday moments since opening its doors in Binondo in 1936.
As the heritage Chinese restaurant celebrates its 90th anniversary, Lido is putting the people who have been part of that journey at the heart of the milestone - its loyal customers.
In a series of special anniversary luncheons held across various locations, longtime customers from different Lido branches were invited to share a meal with Lido President Annie Wong and members of the Lido team. Over familiar Lido favorites, guests shared personal stories of family gatherings, celebrations and memories built around the restaurant through the years. The events were Lido's way of personally thanking customers whose loyalty has helped sustain the brand across generations.
"For us, reaching 90 years is not simply about how long Lido has been in business. It is about the people who have allowed us to become part of their lives," said Annie Wong, President of Lido Cocina Tsina. "Listening to our customers share their stories reminded us that Lido has grown together with generations of families. We are deeply grateful for that trust."
The celebrations bring to life the anniversary message "Lido, Always with You" - a relationship with customers that continues even as the restaurant evolves and welcomes new communities. That 90-year journey enters another chapter with the opening of Lido Cocina Tsina Antipolo located along Circumferential Road, Antipolo, Rizal.
Modern and spacious, the new restaurant carries forward Lido's contemporary design direction while retaining the warmth and hospitality associated with the brand. It also features a dedicated function room for birthdays, reunions and other special occasions - giving families and groups a place to create new memories together。
To mark its arrival in a new community, Lido also introduced something exclusive for Antipolo. In recognition of Antipolo's well-known cashew tradition, the branch is offering Sichuan Shrimp with Cashew Nuts for a limited time. Guests can also enjoy Lido favorites that have endured across generations, led by its signature Pugon-Roasted Asado, alongside other familiar and newer dishes.
"As we open our doors in Antipolo, we hope to become part of this community in the same way Lido has become part of so many families over the past 90 years," Wong added. "We may continue to evolve, but the heart of Lido remains the same - welcoming people to our table and creating moments worth coming back to."
As Lido celebrates nine decades, its story continues - honoring the customers who helped build its past while welcoming new communities and a new generation to be part of its future.
Lido, Always with You.
