华裔女博士状告纽约州立大学歧视违约 索偿750万

自称患有忧郁症的华裔女科学家赵婧，与纽约州立大学、纽约州立大学研究基金会以及校方医学中心博士Dr.Olcay Batuman 之间的官司已经持续八年之久，日前赵婧放弃对方提供的6万元和解条件，重雇华裔律师，该案将于10日在布鲁克林联邦法院审理。

赵婧表示她具有动物生理学哲学博士，而前雇主纽约州立大学下州医学中心(SUNY Downstate Medical Center)以与博士水平不相称的低工资将其聘用，先与其签过三年工作合约后延长至无限期，但在她工作九个月后将其解雇，理由是赵婧向人权委员会报告过她在工作中所受的不平等待遇，并称Olcay Batuman博士常令其工作至凌晨2时；只给她五分钟吃饭时间；看到她去洗手间就不高兴；给予太多工作压力致使她没有时间回家，只好在办公室过夜；时常嘲笑她有中国口音的英语发音等。

赵婧的代表律师海明表示，将以种族歧视、违约、报复性解雇、违反民权法第七章等罪名状告被告，将索赔750万元以及惩罚性赔偿。海明表示此案将于7日上午9时30分在布鲁克林联邦法院开庭，预计至少审讯五天。

被告方并无对此案做出回应，世界日报多次与 Batuman博士联系，但其助理称她不在办公室，不清楚她什么时候回来。
