　　美国食品暨药物管理局（FDA）表示，约1900万颗自愿召回的鸡蛋存在导致严重健康风险的合理可能性，包括死亡。

　　法新社报导，中西部家禽服务公司（Midwest Poultry Services）于7月22日自愿召回这批鸡蛋，原因是可能受肠炎沙门氏菌污染。

　　这种细菌可能引发致命感染，尤其对幼童、老人及免疫力较弱者风险更高。

　　FDA于12日将这次召回事件列为第一级（Class1），意味“违规产品可能导致使用者或接触者发生死亡或严重不良健康后果”。

　　这批鸡蛋于6月6日至7月3日间在德州生产，最后销售日期或有效日期落在7月20日至8月17日间，分销至德州、奥克拉荷马州、阿肯色州、路易斯安那州、新墨西哥州和密西西比州的商店及零售消费者手中。

　　这次召回共涵盖158万9577打鸡蛋，包括多种品牌的白壳蛋与非笼饲褐壳鸡蛋（brown cage free shelleggs）。

　　公司表示，透过主动环境监控措施和严谨的内部调查，在德州两处农场发现问题，并且已经启动自有的检测程序，以找出可能的沙门氏菌来源。
